In a beautiful and warm province located in the northside of Costa Rica, Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (LIR) is a modern facility that serves as a gateway for tourists who want to visit destinations that are true paradise. CORIPORT, concessionaire of the airport (a subsidiary of VINCI Airports) understands its role as an advocate for the country’s economic development mainly dependent on tourism.
Thanks to its commitment to service and safety and joining efforts with the Costa Rican government institutions, this outstanding terminal has become an international role model of excellence and a prime example of the value added by VINCI Airports in terms of airport management.
For the third consecutive year, Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport earns the ACI ASQ award for Best Airport in Latin America and the Caribbean in the category of two million passengers. Quality, safety, hospitality, and the human warmth of the world-renowned pura vida spirit are some of the highlights recognized by the passengers.

Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport adapted quickly to the health situation, implementing VINCI Airports’ “Protecting each other” campaign to ensure compliance with the recommendations issued by the health authorities. This was reinforced by ACI who granted the Airport Health Accreditation (AHA), making it the third airport in the world to obtain it in 2020.
Its commitment to fulfill the travellers’ needs and to offer the best customer service made it possible for the airport to receive this year’s “Voice of the Customer” award, being the only one in Central America to obtain it. This global recognition issued by ACI consists of acknowledging the airport’s commitment for listening to passengers and adapting processes and procedures to meet changing expectations of customer experience in response to COVID-19.

All these recognitions are thanks to the exchange of best practices within the VINCI Airports network and, of course, to the dedication of a hard-working and capable team of people, who always do their best to ensure that passengers have the best experience during their visit.
